Updated Tata Tigor EV launch with 315 km range, many premium features added, know price and booking details

Tata Motors has upgraded its existing electric car Tigor EV with long range and some other changes. The new upgraded model was launched in the country on Wednesday. There are no major design changes, but the popular electric sedan gets premium features like leather seat upholstery, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, cruise control. Apart from this, the price has also gone up a bit.

The upgraded model of Tata Tigor EV has been priced starting at Rs 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and the top trim can be bought for Rs 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom). The car will get the same color options as before and the new model will also get an additional color option Magnetic Red. Tata has added several premium features to the new car model like leather seat upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers and cruise control. The good news is that the updated electric compact sedan now gets connected car technology (ZConnect), smartwatch connectivity, ITPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) and tire puncture repair kit as standard across all trims.

In the new Tigor EV, the company has installed a 26 kWh liquid-cooled battery pack, equipped with an IP67-rated lithium-ion battery. The company’s promise is that its battery will perform well in every season. The Tata electric car can offer a driving range of up to 315 km on a single charge.

Speaking on the occasion of the launch, Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited said, “After a thorough understanding of the driving patterns of our customers, we found that a range of 600 km is required for Indian conditions. We are delighted to introduce the new Tigor EV, which offers a driving range of up to 315 kilometers (ARAI certified) on a single charge.”
