GoI named Bharat Lal as new DG of National Centre for Good Governance


Government of India named Bharat Lal as the new Director General of the National Center for Good Governance, Bharat Lali has been appointed as Director General, National Center for Good Governance (NCGG) by the Government of India. Bharat Lal is a 1988 batch retired Indian Forest Officer of Gujarat Cadre.

  • He worked as the Resident Commissioner of the Government of Gujarat in Delhi.
  • He is known to be close to the then Chief Minister of the state, Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
  • Earlier, Lal was appointed as the secretary of the Lokpal in December 2021.

National Center for Good Governance (NCGG):

  • It is an autonomous institution and its head office is located in New Delhi and branch office is at Mussoorie.
  • The National Center for Good Governance (NCGG) aims to assist in improving governance through study, training, knowledge sharing and promotion of good ideas.
